Santa Fe is one of America’s most historic, artistic, and fascinating cities. The nation’s oldest state capital city is a place unlike in other in the world. Santa Fe is 400+ years of cultural fusion with echoes of the past alive in the present. While history is an ever-powerful presence, there is also a thriving contemporary and progressive sophistication. Santa Fe is stimulating yet relaxing, playful but educational, centuries old with modern touches.

The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is located in downtown Santa Fe within easy walking distance of the historic Plaza. The Museum collection is the single largest repository of O'Keeffe's work in the world.

American Indians inhabited New Mexico long before Spanish contact in the 1500s, and their timeless culture, traditions, arts and beliefs continue to enrich the state today. Several Pueblos are easily accessible from Santa Fe, and can make for a wonderful day or half-day outing during your stay in Santa Fe. There are eight Pueblos going north, between Santa Fe and Taos, and there are scenic views to enjoy along the way.

Located just west of the Plaza, the New Mexico Museum of Art (formerly the Museum of Fine Arts) displays an extensive permanent collection of Southwestern artists, including major pieces by Georgia O'Keeffe. New exhibitions are always being mounted that cover the works of contemporary artists of all kinds.
